Frances Anne "Fashey" (SWIRE) SPALDING December 18, 1825 - April 20, 1899 The letter on this page was written to Philip SWIRE in Louisiana from his second oldest sister Frances Ann "Fashey" (SWIRE) SPALDING in Scotland. Fashey wrote to her brother from Edinburgh. This letter is dated June 11, 1889. This letter mentions the family claim (via Harry ALEXANDER) to the title of the Earl of Stirling, which Philip was apparently trying to pursue. (NOT YET TRANSCRIBED*)
